Some parents of students with allergies at Central School are gathering together with the goal of sharing information, discussing best practices around allergies in school, improving the awareness and inclusion of students with allergies, and making the school environment safer for them where possible.
Central School has many procedures in place to accommodate students with allergies, but ideally every parent of a student with allergies would receive a packet of information on how the school handles various situations, such aswhen to drop off paperwork and medications to the nurse before each school year begins, field trips, lunch time, class parties, etc. One of the goals of this group is to create such a packet of information for parents of incoming students with allergies.
Central raised $864 last year just by collecting the 10¢ Box Tops donated by parents and students!! Each classroom has a collection box. The next date for counting will be October 23rd. The class with the most Box Tops will win a pizza party!!
The 10¢ Box Tops can be found on hundreds of familiar products from General Mills, as well as Ziploc, Kleenex and many more. Over 100 retailers will give eBoxTops to Central School when you shop online at the Marketplace.
Visit www.BoxTops4Education.com for more information, a complete list of participating products and retailers, coupons, recipes, special offers and more.
Next collection deadline is Friday, November 1st.
